Works well on my old Jeep CJ, be sure to add a pressure regulator and pressure gauge, they will allow you to control the necessary flow to carb and avoid flooding.
Easy to install, but as always when working with fuel you need to know what you are doing to properly make all the connections, if not get someone who does.

Bought this for a gas 1970s 2.5 ton IH dump truck that had a carb and a weak mechanical fuel pump. I also added a used aluminum fuel tank in the process and used a couple of extra fuel filters. The electric pump installation was easy. To aide in fuel delivery, just before the carb I used a fuel filter that has a “vent” line on it, and routed a much smaller vent line back to the fuel tank. This caused the fuel pump to never build enough pressure to shut itself off, but I never ran into any problems in the year or so of owning the truck. I tried using this pump inline through the mechanical pump, and completely bypassing it with negligible difference, so I left the mechanical pump bypassed. I would recommend this pump due to the price and my experience.

I always laugh when i see that huge disclaimer on the packaging. Like the sky is going to fall or something if you get it near diesel.
I dont know why its there as i have been using these pumps for the last 8 or so years, and only in a 100% diesel environment. This is to include all the way from 100% bio-diesel, 100% SVO and 100% #2 diesel and mixtures of all three in a dizzying array of quantities.
One word of caution though. Ditch the joke of a filter that the pump comes with, and place this pump after a real fuel filter. You’ll be amazed the garbage floating in your tank, the stock “filter” will clog easily and you’ll choke off your fuel supply. If you put it after a 10 micron filter, you’ll have no problem for years and years.
You’ll also want to mount the pump on some sort of rubber isolators, cause if you just slap it on your fender liner the noise will get old in a hurry.

I bought this pump to evacuate gas from fuel tanks in vehicles. It has worked well, and I plan to purchase another to install on my truck.

Poor quality out of the box. The pump worked properly for less than one week and then slowly failed. Installed in a 1969 Corvair 140. Not a huge volume demand running at 4psi. I have installed other brands on other Corvair and never experienced a failure. I read the reviews and did not heed the negatives. Lesson learned. I run non-ethanol fuel from a new tank and pre-filter. No excuse other than poor quality for this pump failure. I will go back to using the reputable brand from Clark’s Corvair. Quality parts last for years and do not leave you stranded and I knew better. Shame on me.
