Buy it! Works great! Don’t forget to change both temperature sensor and thermostat at the same time. Disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting. Clear OBD2 codes after you reassemble everything. Take it out for a drive. Guages reset. No more high fan running after engine is turned off. I have a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. Seems to be a problem on a lot of GM trucks and SUV’s.

I own a 2016 Yukon XL 5.3L that suddenly started to stop reading coolant temperature causing the car to go into protecting itself and would leave the radiator fans on for at least 10 minutes after turning the car off and always on in HIGH when driving. According to some posts on the yukon forums, there’s 2 possible things that can cause these symptoms, this temperature sensor or a stuck open thermostat. Lucky for me mines was this sensor. Price and oem quality are great, it was easy to install just had to do it fast since i didn’t drain coolant and just took off the old one while plugging this one in fast!! New sensor fit perfectly! The car has been reading the coolant temperature perfect again and so far haven’t had the fan issues anymore!
