Does not fit well in my 2010 Mazda 3. No built in ‘hooks’ on the sides of the filters (which makes installation easier.)

Beware if you are ordering this for a 2010 or newer Mazda 3 or MazdaSpeed3. The website says this will fit, but it is about one inch too short and will not stay in the slot it is supposed to (not to mention that even if it did stay put there would be a one inch gap making the filter useless and eventually clogging you ventilation system.
Now I am stuck having to return the item and wait for my partial refund. Only a partial refund because “it was not Amazon’s fault”, apparently it was my fault for trusting their website.

Good quality. Fits my 06 mazda 3 fine. Installation was a process. But I now have clean smelling air in the cabin.

These were fine for my 2008 Mazda 3 Sport hatchback. The biggest pain is changing them out if you do it yourself. Total pain in the ass getting underneath the front console and getting the two of them in. But the filters do what they’re supposed to do. When the air is on recycle there are no funky odors or anything.

Good product and decent price. I like the idea of the active carbon to help control odors.
I only had 15K miles since the last time I changed it (which was the first time at 47K and long overdue), but that was over 3 years ago, and with mostly parking the car outdoors, there was a lot of oak pollen clogging it. The process is a pain on the older Mazda 3s of course, but much easier the second time than the first. I watched a youtube video, and this time didn’t take out the front panel or glove box, so it went much faster. This product has the right foam on top and everything, so I didn’t have any issues getting the top filter in first and getting the bottom one in under it.
I’ll say that 15K interval is probably about where you want to change this, especially if you park outdoors and don’t drive that many miles in a year. It’s still an involved process (took about half an hour total), so I wouldn’t do it more often like I do for my newer Honda Pilot (which takes about 2 minutes)

I bought these filters for 2013 Mazda 5 Sport. If you want replace these filter yourself, I would highly recommend watching a video on Utube by “sigor2011”. The filters are located in the very awkward location, where you would need to remove two plastic panels, disconnect two wiring plugs and remove four screws. Using a stubby Philips screw driver will be of great benefit. Reinstalling the filters is almost as awkward as getting to them in the first place. These filters stack on top of each other in the housing, so patience is required. Once the top filter is properly located, the bottom will slide in place with a very slight effort. Just pay attention to the groves on the filters and the housing. The dealer was quoting me $99 to replace the filters, but I would rather pay a quarter of that and about 20 minutes of my time instead. After 3 years and 25,000+ miles, the OEM filters were not that bad looking, but were due for replacement.
