Let me suggest you go to the dealer and price them. While you are at it, take a close look at them and compare them to these. I frankly could not see any difference whatsoever and actually feel these have more fiber and carbon packed in and they look more like what I would have expected to pull from the OEM box.
Granted, they needed to be replaced but I don’t smoke and pollution can be an issue in the Winter. Not anymore. The cabin is noticeably fresher and the vehicle is a delight to drive the once again.
They fit perfectly and to save yourself some time, pull and replace one at the time as while they don’t look readily different, the differences are there between the two, and subtle enough that you could easily try to install one in the wrong slot and find it will not fit. Even then, it is nothing more than an inconvenience as they are readily reachable underneath the glove box. People don’t realize the difference they make until they replace them they will wonder why they never did or waited so long to do it’
Consider this; there are two of them and they are as large if not larger than an air filer off a small size car. They make a difference, they are very reasonably priced and they both come in the box. that is one thing you will not regret replacing.

Talk about saving money? This were about 20% of the cost of the same item found elsewhere. They are exactly like the ones from the factory. Easy install video on YouTube.com showed me how to install them.

these were not as pictured, which would have been identical replacements. but ok, it’s just a filter. the shape was not identical either. close, but not identical. popped the old ones out and slide the new ones in. they were very tight. they appear to work after putting them in place, but i couldn’t get them back out. i’m concerned it will be a struggle, if i can even replace these.

The photo shows 2 filters, but the description says “pack of 1”. I wasn’t sure what I was going to get. But I was glad to find they shipped a box with the 2 filters I needed. Amazon’s description is a little lacking. These are the ones that get installed UNDER (not behind) the glove box, and only get used when you push the button for the charcoal cabin filter.
They’re not exactly like the photo, as mentioned by others, the core is pleated paper infused with charcoal. Not a big deal to me. I was told even the ones from the stealership look like this now. They are sturdy and well built and fit great into a 2005 s-class.

I bought these to replace the worn out Mercedes OEM filters in my 2001 E320. The first set of another brand I bought were light and had less media (charcoal/active carbon) then the OEM ones. These appear to be constructed exactly the same as the OEM ones I removed were and seem to remove smells as well as the OEM filters did. This is a huge savings! Highly recommended by a “type A” car guy.
Don’t forget to replace the pre-filter behind the glove box as well. Yes there are 3 cabin air filters in these cars. 🙂

These are appropriate for replacement of the carbon air filters that live UNDERNEATH (not behind) the glove box. The OEM filters use some sort of granulated carbon fiber cartridge, these are pleated fitlers with heavy activated carbon material in them. Not a 100% identical replacement, but for the price they are a worthy, appropriate alternative. Seals and fit are 100% perfect.

Replacements for my 2002 Mercedes -Benz S430 (Cabin Air ONLY)
They was a perfect fit. With Their new foam seal they were extremely tight fit plus your laying on your back in the floorboard of the passengers side trying to push these back into place and get the covers back on.. Very tight but they do fit. Pay close attention to the way you take out the used filters. The angles to get them out are the same angles to put them back in. Also look at the placement of the covers mark the front with tape or something and left side RIGHT side. It’s easy to reverse them and they will not go back in like that. Remove used filters 10 min. Replace new Filters & covers 30 min. Look @ youtube for video
