For the vehicle aspect of this mount, if you mainly do surface roads that are not too bumpy the suction for this mount will be sufficient for your needs. For most things, I take testing seriously enough to put products through their paces and this one did not do as well with off road and dirt/gravel settings. The suction would last through a few bumps, but when you got into some rough roads it would inevitably fall off.
I think the failure of the suction cup portion was mainly due to the robustness of the rest of the product. I was impressed that the arm portion was mostly metal and seemed built very well. I think this added too much weight for the suction cup to handle when paired with the weight of your phone. The suction cups ability to stay adhered to your window will also have a lot to due with the angle you need to set it at. Too much of an angle and all the weight is pulling on the suction cup. You will need to position it right to distribute some of this weight to make it adhere properly.
The clamp that holds your phone will also be sufficient for highways and city streets. There is no lip to keep your phone in place on the bumpy country roads. I found the tension to be sufficient to hold the phone, even in the bumpiest of conditions, but if you do not squeeze it hard enough and compress it to a certain point when putting your phone in the holder, then it will fall out.
As far as the other applications go, I found that it stuck in the shower pretty well. I think the suction cup likes the tile better than glass. But honestly, who takes showers SO long that you need your phone in there??? I did not find that it stuck to a desk very well, maybe because mine is real wood? I don’t know if it will stick to a more laminated surface for those instances like the picture in the ad……..taking pictures of plants? or maybe podcasting? i don’t know what the dude in the picture is doing.

I’m really pleased with this cell phone mount. Other mounts that I’ve purchased in the past have fallen terribly short of my expectations, but this one has me very impressed.
My state recently enacted some hands-free laws, and I wanted to be able to use my phone for navigation/music without running afoul of the new statutes, so I decided that my Kei truck needed a phone mount. This one came up on Vine, and I decided to give it a shot.
Out of the box, I was already pleased with the apparent build quality. All the joints incorporated rubber o-rings to prevent slipping over time, and the suction cup was larger than I expected.
The mount was easy to assemble, even though there weren’t any instructions. Using common sense was sufficient for proper assembly.
Installation was as easy as falling off a log. Just find a suitable spot for the suction mount, make sure it will display your phone’s screen to best advantage without obstructing your view, then lock down the suction lever. Done.
I’ve been driving around with the mount for a few days now, and I’ve had no problems or concerns with it. Once all the joints are tightened, it is rock solid, and displays my screen without wobbling or wiggling around. If you’ve ridden in a Kei truck, you know that the ride isn’t exactly buttery smooth due to their cab over design, and the mount handled all the bumps and jolts that my local town streets and backcountry lanes could throw at it.
The only change I would make is to use stronger springs for the actual phone retention part of the mechanism. It holds my old iphone se2020 without any problems, but if I wasn’t using a rubber case, I think the mount would have trouble holding on to such a small phone without slippage, especially in the vertical position. As it is, everything works fine, so I don’t think this complaint is worth docking a star for, but it does merit a mention here.
I would definitely purchase again.

I’ve used several phone mounts over the years, but this one stands out for its superior adjustability and build quality. I use my phone for navigation and music, so precise placement matters to me—out of the way of air vents, angled to reduce glare, close enough to reach prompts like Waze’s “still there,” and in my line of sight without blocking the windshield. This mount handles all of that better than any I’ve used before.
The multi-swivel design is far more versatile than the common extended bar style. It feels at least as rigid—if not more so—and the rubber ring around the ball joint is a brilliant touch. It adds grip and stability without requiring you to crank down the screws.
The only thing missing is built-in Qi charging. Fortunately, the standard ball size allowed me to attach my iOttie wireless charging cradle with no problem. So, for this evaluation I did not use the phone mount, only the suction mount and support arm.
Highly recommended if you care about adjustability, stability, and smart design.

So, this phone mount is a mixed bag of feelings for me. I like that parts of it are made of metal and seem very solid. I don’t like that the phone holder part isn’t as secure as I’d like it to be. The phone can slip inside the holder if, say, you’re driving on a bad road. The mount will hold its position if it’s tightened down, but, theres a bad side to that too: When tightened, it’s solid, but there’s no fine adjustments; when you try to loosen it just a little bit, it’ll slam down under its weight and gravity.
