This new style rear camera is a much nicer upgrade from the original. The camera itself is more rugged and the video clarity I think is improved as well. I’ve had a chance to travel over some very rough roads and the video images are as solid as a rock. No shaking, vibration, or video cutouts. Overall, very pleased.

The rear cam on my unit failed after about a year. I got no satisfaction from the company, in fact no communication at all. This replacement became available, the price is reasonable, and I took measures to seal and protect the camera and wires over the factory effort. Works great.

Purchased a T9 as a replacement for the stock mirror on my 22 ram. I had to modify the T9 by using the stock mirror window attachment. Overall i am happy with the product. Video quality is really good. Customer support is also really good. I contacted customer support for a replacement camera for a T9 and was told this camera (V5) will work as well.

Here I sit 3 years later, I want to like this unit I really do, the problem is and has always been the outside camera, the first camera went out 1 year after owning the unit, it started with what looked like lines across the picture, I was sent a new camera free of charge. I assumed that was the fix and I simply got a bad unit. Almost 1 year later I am back with the same problems the picture started going fuzzy and the next day there was no picture.
I am glad there is a replacement camera for sale now and I have purchased it (full price) and it fixed my issues, the new camera looks like it is much higher quality. I don’t believe I should have had to pay full price for this but it is what it is. I think there should have been a recall and the users should have been sent free cameras to replace the faulty one.
I originally gave this 5 stars and a glowing review, but year after year the camera fails me and I can’t in good consciousness give it more than 3 stars.
In summary, New users will get the new camera, it will probably be fine for a new purchaser, old users will have to pay 44 extra bucks to have a working product.
PS.
To Auto-Vox, you need to advertise this camera, I only luckily found it by searching for, “camera,” on your Amazon page, there is NO section where this exists unless you physically search for it.

I bought this as a replacement camera for my V5 Pro Mirror. I love the mirror however, the updated version did not fit where the older style camera was mounted. I wrote explaining the situation and they sent me the older style camera. Incredible service.

I dont know where to start. Everything is amazing. Their customer support is some of the best i have eve encountered. I have been using the v5pro for a few years. I love it so much i put it in my wife and sons cars, then my classic mustang. I broke the camera from the bumper a few weeks back and could not find a replacement. Some reviews mentioned the great customer support so i emailed them expecting nothing. AMAZING i got an email from Kaya within a few hours!! With a link to the camera even offering a discount!! I ordered the new camera and it is even better than the old one so i them had to order 3 more to replace the ones for other vehicles.
I cannot even begin to comprehend that this company is actually doing everything right. Their customer support is amazing AND they listen to customer feedback and IMPROVE their products based on it. All other businesses should take note. This is how you run a company. Make a great product, listen to customer feedback and improve. Then treat customers right.

I love everything about this unit except. The headlight glare at night. It’s so bad it makes the camera useless at night.
