Installed in about 3 minutes, no problem. Appears to be pretty well built. Easily adjustable. It rattles a bit if you don’t put your phone in it, so I just put my phone in it every time. Also, if you tighten it, it presses the buttons on the side of my phone, so just snug it up lightly.

It scratches your air vent. It wasn’t wide enough to hold my Pixel 9 XL with a phone case on it. The steering wheel blocks the phone if you try to install it in either vent on the driver’s side of a Wrangler. The holder blocks buttons along the side of the phone.

This mounts very secure and works perfect on the chrome trim of my 2015 Platinum F150. What is hard to realize is that there is only a small lip/tooth of the plate on the mount that grabs the lip of the vents chrome trim ring. Once you realize that, everything mounts, clamps and works perfect. I trimmed off my rubber before realizing this. It still works, but I’d feel better if this was more clear in the very minimal installation instructions. I don’t know why companies like this don’t do a simple video with a QR lint to the video. It would have made it way easier. I docked 1 star from the “easy to install” for this. It works so well I can’t bring myself to dock a star from the overall rating though. I am buying one for the passenger side for my wife.

It took me about 3 min to install the cell phone holder. I didn’t find the instructions until after I had unit installed. I like how the width of holder is screw adjustable. This makes for a secure fit that lets me slide phone one handed in and out. Just set width once and drop phone in. This unit is “pricey” compared to a lot of the vent holder units. But it works and functions great.
