This was an exact fit for my RV and I liked having the air filter pad included since my original grill didn’t have one. The price is cheaper than my local RV shop as well!

This is a bad design from Dometic. I have been RV’ing since the 80’s and have owned several RV’s over the years. I have never ever had to purchase a new filter cover. I have had Duo-Therm, Colman and a couple of Dometics. The one that broke was from my 2019 RV and it broke last season…so I got like 3 years out of it. The Dometic I have is by far the worst noisiest RV AC I have ever owned and this filter cover just follows along with the poor quality and bad design this unit exhibits. First year I replaced the Fan assembly because it was so out of balance it shook the roof…then the fan motor died 6 months after that. First year I replaced the capacitive touch thermostat, then year two…year three I finally just took off the cover of the thermostat and just touch the blades on the circuit board to make it work. This is not a negative on the product I bought here, because it does fit and works just like the OEM….but it is only as good as the design…so at this price…buy spares.

This return air replacement grille measures 14.17 x 7.87 x 0.35 inches and fits onto the a/c ceiling cover. It comes with a washable and reusable foam filter. When I purchased this RV, one of the clips (pic above) securing this grille in place was broken off. It is easily installed. I am 67, female, and did it myself. While installation is easy, I have a very difficult time removing it to either wash or replace the foam filter or to clean the grille. The clips are made of hard plastic, and I don’t want to break them off. At first I tried to push the clip from the back, but it didn’t lift the clip tab. Now, from the front, I use pliers to pull the clip body both forward toward me and down which releases pressure on the tab allowing it lift up. The foam filters are simple to wash after which exI roll them in a towel removing excess water then leave them outside for a few minutes to completely dry. Although the grille will stay in place with only one clip, I rated Durability only 4 Stars because one has to be extremely carefully not to break one off when removing this grille.
