Overall, I really like this little screen! It is compatible with Android auto as well as Apple car play. I have not tried the Apple car play functionality, although I am sure it would work just as well as the Android Auto side of things. I am using this screen to add Android Auto support to my 2010 Ford Crown Victoria. It connects to my phone quickly and comes on when the power outlet turns on. This makes it pretty much automatic that when I get into the car, everything just comes on and connects. Android Auto can be configured to start playing music upon connection, so this allows for the music to come on automatically when getting in the car. This makes it so that I don’t need to take my phone out of my pocket most of the time. It mounts to the old police style center console perfectly! The screen is super bright and can easily be seen even in bright sunlight which is a major plus. It uses a standard USB-C cable for charging which is convenient. It comes included with a USB-C adapter that can be used in your cigarette lighter (if you still have one). I am not using the included adapter, as a regular USB-C charger works fine for me. I should point out that if you are trying to use the FM transmitter functionality, you MUST use the included power adapter. The included power adapter seems to have a wire inside it that is used as the FM antenna. If you are not planning on using the FM transmitter function, you can use just about any standard USB-C power adapter and cable. I purchased the “7 Inch + MP5” version of this product. One of my major complaints with this specific version is the lack of a functional A/V input jack. I was excited to see that this unit had a 2.5mm A/V input jack for connecting a back up camera. My plan was to use this for Android Auto as well as a backup camera viewing screen. Despite having a physical jack that is labeled “A/V IN” this unit is NOT capable of displaying a video feed through this jack in any way. There is no option on the menu to press that will switch to the A/V input jack. I also tried hooking the camera up to the screen and putting the car into reverse, and nothing came up. This is very disappointing, as now I will need to find a different method of viewing my rear camera’s video feed. I noticed that this listing has other versions that can display video from a camera. If you have a backup camera mounted on your car already and want to use this screen to view it this will NOT work at all with the “7 Inch + MP5” version. This version is not advertised with support for this function, so I will give credit to the manufacturer there. It still seems misleading to see the A/V input jack in the photos as well as on the product, and not have any way to use it. It would be helpful for them to list a disclaimer for this version, that the A/V input is not functional. My only other complaint is that the touch screen is an older style resistive touch screen. It requires a bit more of a physical tap on the screen rather than a light touch like a capacitive screen allows for. This can be frustrating, and sometimes requires you to press again or look at the screen to see if it responded. Some people actually might prefer this style of touchscreen, as it requires a physical press on the touchscreen rather than a light touch. I am giving this version 4 stars, given the lack of support for the built in A/V input and the resistive touchscreen. Overall, I really like it, and I am starting to prefer this over having my phone in a car mount.

This touch screen is great for using Apple CarPlay on an older car without a media screen. I connected it through the auxiliary jack cable included into the car radio and the sound is excellent. Screen graphics are very clear too. Highly recommended.

This thing works great for the money. Can go wrong if you want to access your phone apps
