I didn’t read the description or reviews when I bought this and simply saw a great price with a high rating and what I though was 24″ NOPE, this is NOT a mis-print, this baby really is 204″…17 FEET. It works perfect, just about 15′ longer than what I needed, but I won’t give a poor rating for my lack of attention to detail. I simply just tucked the excess neatly under the dash and am currently waiting for my correct length cable to arrive in the mail. I will definitely keep this one around for future use though, sound quality is just as strong as having the antenna plugged directly into the radio

I bought this antenna extension as a temporary hookup on my AM/FM boat antenna. I had to run an antenna cable from the port side, around the bow and into the stereo at the starboard side console (about 20′). Yes, the advertised length is correct. I was expecting so-so reception as the cable is thin in comparison to the 8′ of antenna wire that came with the Digital boat antenna and the price being so inexpensive. I was wrong! Plugged it in, turned on the radio and great reception. I’ve been using it all summer without a problem.

My 1976 car had an air-core antenna cable on which one of the connectors broke. It looked like too much trouble to try to replace the connector, so I just replaced the entire cable instead. This cable worked fine, and it was long enough to reach from the radio to the rear-fender mounted antenna.

The ends of this cable are huge. The connections are inherently large, but they’ve made sure with this cable to make it as cumbersome as possible to get through tight places. Worse, the terminal connections aren’t strong. If you accidentally get one end pinned while trying to run the cable you can EASILY rip the end of the cable off… and then you’re screwed. It would be nice if this cable had some kind of lean/small connection so you’re running a much thinner cable then make the connections when you’re done.

I ordered two of these for my car, and they work just fine, even when I’m adding 408 inches between my antenna and my radio tuner.
In my car, the antenna is right next to the trunk. The radio has a remote tuner located in the trunk. I wanted to add an HD radio which uses an FM modulator to get its sound into the car speakers, and since I don’t drive from the trunk, the unit needed to be located at the dash. So I ordered two of these, and ran them (in opposite directions) from the trunk all the way under the door sills, carpeting, etc up to the dash. There was length left over which I bundled neatly behind a trunk panel. Once everything was connected together, it all works great. Reception is completely acceptable, as is sound quality.
And given the price, you probably can’t go wrong if this is what you need. The connectors are good quality and I’ve had no issues there either.
