The construction quality of this high-pressure fuel hose is nothing short of EXCELLENT! As others have mentioned, the PVC/PTFE core makes it quite stiff, and maybe not as fully flexible as some might expect, with a typical otherwise, rubber-hose as such. I do not look at this as a negative at all however, as it also clearly will serve to avoid kink/blockage & maintain consistency in fuel-flow functionality for its entire length. Make sure your trimming tools are sharp is all, as the braided steel wire cord layer woven between the PVC and outer rubber casing will otherwise fray & be challenging to flush-up at the cut-ends before overlaying fittings onto them. One other note of “caution”, if you “ask Rufus” regarding product delivery details on this, as I did – whether or not these come with clamps… Rufus will say “yes” – that these do come with clamps supplied – but at least in my package here with this received – it did NOT, and no such clamps were found/supplied. Unless Rufus somehow considers the 2 thin/flimsy zip-ties that were in the bag along with this – its “clamps” (which no way anyone else would ever, reasonably even try that, I don’t think) – this product DOES NOT COME WITH/INCLUDE CLAMPS!
I am installing this as “replacement” main fuel-line section, through a rusted-out frame-section, also being repaired on my old Chevy Silverado (V-6) fuel-injected farm-use (off road) work pickup truck. I will come back over time to update on its resiliance as/if needed. For now though – “out of the box” – a very high-quality appearing, and comparative also high value for the money, against what else I could find at my local parts store – that this exceeds (in initial appearance anyway) by far!

Looks like it is Quality. I have to install a fitting on it before I can. Say more than it looks to be Quality and is stiff. It also measures correctly.

Got this to replace the fuel line on a 25HP chipper engine. However, two issues arose. The first is that the inner lining PTFE layer is stiff enough that spring clamps don’t seem to be able to compress it very well. The second and more important issue is that my gas line is 1/4″ ID, which is just a little smaller than this tubing, and since it does not compress with the clamps, I can’t accomodate the difference. This tubing easily slides on and off the fuel filter bayonnet fitting with zero resistance, so it’s not even close (though it’s only 0.05″ difference from the OEM fuel line diameter). Looks like good tubing though, if it fit.

First off I love the look of the black braided fuel line under the hood. PTFE line seems more challenging than the CPE type. I had issues with the stainless braid and nylon braid moving on the slick PTFE inner. I’m not an expert on AN fittings but I struggled making the fuel line look and function as well as the rubber alternative. I have no doubt that it will be as durable and leak proof as the synthetic rubber.

Nicely finished fuel line . Ends heat shrinked , nylon braid covering with an under layer of metal braid and inner core of PTFE. Going to use this for breather line extension for my rear differential and move my breather valve up to my gas fill port.

I have used more expensive name brand line to do my whole fuel system but needed a small temporary jumper so was looking for an inexpensive alternative. This hose was perfect! Working with it was as easy as the name brand stuff and I was able to make a good looking and functional hose. It held up to my fuel system’s pressure with no issues. Very happy.

This is really nice fuel line. I was apprehensive because of the low cost but upon receiving this item I’m really impressed and plan on ordering more. I am using mine for a catch can on a supercharged 700hp engine and am waiting for the fittings to arrive.

This is a great hose for all your PTFE AN fittings! This hose has been very good for a cost effective way to get the look/fit and finish you desire. I used this hose in a fuel system for a small block Chevy. This engine has a tunnel ram and two 4 barrel 450 CFM Holley carburetors. I decided to use –6 on this fuel system, because the inlets to the float bowls are on the throttle linkage side so the rigidity of -6 hose being close to the throttle linkage gives me a sense of security versus something smaller and less rigid. The hose was also compatible with the Russell AN style PTFE fitting that I had. The black is very durable and has a great appearance. I personally prefer the black hose verse the bright stainless braided hose for my truck. I will continue purchasing hose from this company for all my fuel and oil, plumbing projects.
