Living in the south, I always purchased light colored vehicles because of the heat. A black car looks great, but gets way hotter inside than a white one in summer. Recently I purchased a black car that was too good of a deal to pass up, so I thought it would be worth it, regardless of the heat. Now I have discovered something else about black cars—they show every bit of dust or dirt, and even water spots from rain. My dirty white car doesn’t look nearly as bad as my black car when it is dirty. To be fair, the black car looks amazing when it is clean though. However, when you wash it, you really need to dry it off to prevent spots. This set of chamois cloths is just what hubby needs to keep my car looking great. You get 4 large (13” x 17”) cloths in separate plastic storage containers to keep them moist and ready to use. They are mold & mildew resistant, soft and very absorbent. It is unbelievable how much water they can absorb. The car was beautifully dried with absolutely no water spots. It looked great! These cloths work so much better than the old terry towels he had been using. The set also comes with a microfiber wash mitt, but it is a little small for hubby’s large hands. Although the listing photo shows a very fluffy mitt with lots of tufts, it really only has about half of the amount pictured. It will still wash the car, but he prefers to use a different one that fits his hand better. I will probably use this one in the house for cleaning and dusting. I will probably steal one of the chamois cloths for inside cleaning, too. It really makes my appliances look shiny and fingerprint free. The great thing about these chamois cloths is that you can machine wash them if they get dirty. Don’t use bleach or fabric softener on them though.

I just simply wet one of them down, went over the vehicle and it really did help clean it. I didn’t notice any sort of scratches so the cloth is gentle enough and it even comes with a kind of duster too on a glove. I threw the cloth into the wash when done, ran it through the dryer and although it got a bit stiff doing all that I rewet it again and it was like it was good as new.
They are mildew and mold resistant as well and honestly I am pretty happy with how they worked out. You get tubes you can store them in but I just leave them in my vehicle if I am not actively using them and when I do just pop them in the wash with the rest of my laundry and then simply take them out and put them right back in the vehicle.
Overall I am VERY happy with the quality of these microfiber cloths and I am glad that I got them as they definitely are doing the job I was hoping they would! Nothing inherently special with the duster but it is a nice addition and seems to wash just fine in the laundry as well.
