I hate that the prices have gone up. Used to get a can of this for like $20. However a business has to make money and inflation and the economy have been awful thanks to things and people I won’t rant about so I don’t blame Harly wax for that. Great thing is the can is big and it lasts for a good long time. My father-in-law has a Mustang (one year only color Emberglo) that pretty much never loses a car show and this is his present every year and he doesn’t use any other wax or sealant since I first gifted him this wax.
What I will say is that this is still the best PURE carnauba wax there is. Of course it has softening agents but other than making sure you can spread it on your paint this stuff is pure. Doesn’t leave white residue on your plastics and weather stripping. Easy on easy off and the remaining finish is this deep, wet, glossy shine that makes you want to stare at your vehicle for hours.
Also it smells like candy but don’t eat it I bet it tastes awful with no additives. Fun fact carnauba is naturally occurring plant-based so candy companies use it to polish their hard-shelled candy.

Although carnauba is the most durable wax for a car, I had not used a carnauba wax product for a few years because of the high effort of applying it. I decided to try this wax because of another car enthusiast’s recommendation. It was much easier to apply than other carnauba waxes…..it seems creamier. As I finished and started to wipe off the residue, I became very impressed with the result. The finish has a wet, deep look and is very smooth to the touch. To know it will last longer than the other wax products gives me a good feeling. This will save me money in the long run. BTY, I ordered the product on a Friday and got it in the mail (USPS Priority Mail) the following Monday in a sturdy box with an applicator, a micro fiber cloth, instructions and a Harly Wax sticker (I’ll tell my friends about this wax but I’m not putting a sticker on my car!).

Very easy to apply and very easy to polish. No dangerous compound. Natural carnauba. Great result. But you need to use micro fibre cloth to polish. Perfect for all types of surfaces. I did some research online about cat detailing. This came after trying nanotechnology sealants in place of a decent tried and tested wax formula and I was severely disappointed with the nanotechnology product so I looked into Carnauba wax products instead.
REVIEW
Many people falsely believe carnauba wax is difficult to work with. I found this as easy to work with as synthetic waxes and easier than some of the Meguiars products. You really cannot compare this product to any other carnauba wax and definitely not a synthetic blend either. I honestly do believe this to be the finest of all carnauba waxes there is. Please do not think more expensive brands are worth it. I have looked into ones that cost between £100-£600 for smaller cans than this size and they do not offer anything more than this brand does. They are also generally synthetic with a small amount of carnauba wax in them. I would not recommend you give up this offer because it is actually the cheapest brand for the quantity and quality. This is 100% carnauba and it works very well.
APPLICATION
I was able to apply this with ease. I followed the instructions and expected the work to be more labour and less perfect results. Instead it was really easy to apply and buff off. It took me less than an hour to do and this is my first time I’ve used a wax like this. I used to small sponge applicator discs for applying the wax and then buffed off with microfiber cloths. In total I used about 2 40×40 microfiber cloths to buff off the wax and for final finish I used a more expensive microfiber cloth to ensure the sheen was not impaired by any remaining wax that I may have missed. I am working with a white paint finish so your results and application may vary. White cars do not show swirl marks like dark black does and I found this wax to be easy to see while buffing off because of its yellow colour. So even on light coloured paint work it is easy to see while buffing off. I worked in sections to make the job more methodical and easier. If two people do this then you will finish a car wax in 20-40 min max, depending on car size that is. There really is nothing more to this. Just spread on very thinly for optimal results and shine, over applying will ruin the results and mean you have a duller finish. Trust me, carnauba waxes need applying in very small layers for optimal results. No only apply a small amount at a time on the material applicator or cloth you use. Mileage will vary depending on the application cloth you use how much the cloth itself absorbs. I recommend a sponge applicator for this.
RESULTS
It is now a month later and results are as fine as they were on day one. Water beading and run off is the best I’ve ever seen. The water may not run off as fast as it does with nanotechnology sealants but it still works as well if not better at protecting paintwork than any nanotechnology product. The sheen on the paintwork is to be as expected, deep wet look with reflective shine far better than any other product I’ve used in 20 years of car detailing.
CONCLUSION
This product is of far better quality than expected. It has no residue powder at all! NONE. I never truly believed the high rated reviews on here because I thought people were exaggerating the product and results but I’ve been proven wrong. The value, quality and quantity of this product means anyone not trying this would be missing a great opportunity for care car. Minimal effort and superior results. I have read many detailing guides and reviews from experts and professionals that bad mouth natural carnauba waxes. Those people seem very biased or maybe they have forgotten just how much better natural carnauba wax really is. I can’t help but feel deceived to all these years. We’ve been told how much work it takes to apply carnauba wax. I think this is very old information which applied in the 1960s when the waxes were harder to work with but newer and more efficient refinement processes ensure this product is 100% pure grade carnauba and still able to be used with minimal effort. I can’t praise this product enough. I am not closed minded to trying other products but this one in my mind is the finest quality product.
I will update this review as time goes by and intend to apply more layers of wax for better protection for winter months so I do not need to apply as often through colder months. We live by the sea and cannot get worse weather than the sea air, constant year round.winds and heavy rains and blowing sand. This wax ensures thr elements do not damage the cars bodywork. Barely any sand or dirt is stuck to the car and cleaning is very easy to do now.

I have been using Harly wax on my vehicles for years. I have tried other major brands that claim a better longer lasting shine and the best protection. Don’t believe it. It is pure carnuba wax and although the first coat does take a little elbow grease the second and subsequent coats go on much easier and there is no better wax to produce a shine and protect the paint. I put a second coat on after about 2 months and then every 6 months or more just to maintain the great finish. These coats are easy to apply. Be sure to remove any spots on the paint before you put on the wax, and like all waxes do Not use soap when you wash your car or truck because soap will remove this, and any wax you spent the time putting on. Besides yo don’t need the soap, after you have the wax on, simply use water and the dirty and wipes off with a wet towel. Another plus is it beads water better than any wax I have used. Again DO NOT use soap once it’s waxed.
