I used this on a pontoon boat for a friend, when I was done it was blinding on the water. He actually sold the boat that weekend for what he paid for it new, it was 2 years old. Love this stuff use it on my hot rods to keep the metals looking great. Renewed the look of the stainless exhaust on my wife’s 1998 Mustang GT. Extreme detailing is a hobby and anyone who wants there metals to look new enough said. I have used this by hand with power balls and wool buffing pads. Renewed the look of snowflake Trans Am wheels this morning Aluminum shines like new!!

This product is hands-down amazing I did my whole boat in about 10 hours with an 8 inch buffing pad at medium speed. I purchased the full kit. Followed all the steps washing the boat with soap and water and letting it dry moving forward into the acid wash section by section rinsing very well moving onto the polish to a mirror finish. Definitely worth the money.

dont make my mistake and rush this! it takes a lot of time to clean and you must do it in sections of about 6′ long.
use the proper tool (i recommend using the one the owner asks Makita) and the proper cleaning technique prior to starting this step. TAKE YOUR TIME! i cant stress that enough! work in small spaces. apply the compound on to material and carefully and lightly smear it with the tool and pad around the area and then begin the buffing. Keep the motion going in an “S” shape pattern. if you apply properly and follow the steps that come after buffing it, you will be in good shape to apply the protective coat.
things to note about this:
it will NOT dry after you open it but in certain weather, it will lose its consistency and make it a tad bit harder to work with.
it is a paste type of compound so apply with something that wont leave debris like a paper towel does. i used a stir stick and cleaned it everytime i went in to re-dip to get mroe compound.
DO NOT use this with other chemicals that arent sharkhide, i saw a couple of people attempt this and something went wrong. Better to be safe than sorry.

We had the tritoon hull acid cleaned at the Marina (as recommended) nd then went to work on polishing – and what a lot of work!! The oxidation comes off pretty quickly but buffing the polish off took hours. This polish leaves an ‘oily’ residue that just doesn’t seem to want to come off. The polish generates a black ‘goo’ initially that is hard to get off no matter how much you buff it. And remember, never let the polish dry! It’s nothing like polishing a car – where the polish dries and then buffs off as a fine powder. While the Sharkhide works (eventually) and gives an impressive shine, if we do this polishing again I’ll look at alternate brands as this product was just too much work. We bough a 2lb can of polish thinking we needed a lot to do a 23′ triton boat. We only used about 20% of the polish – so don’t make the mistake of buying too much – you only need a little bit.
