If you’re looking for a car wash brush that won’t scratch, this is it. The 8 inch, heavy-duty ABS brush head with 3/4 inch ACME threaded fitting is packed, I mean packed dense, with super soft bristles that are about as thin as I’ve ever seen. Running my fingers through the brush I might think it was hair if I didn’t know better. OK, not quite that soft, but close enough for me to make the comparison. Importantly, the ends of the bristles are finely frayed, but just barely. Because honestly, the bristle are so fine to begin with, feathering might not even be necessary. But doing so definitely adds another dimension of softness, so it’s still important, even with the finest bristles. Equally important, I noticed very little shedding after running my hand through the bristles multiple times. There were some small fines, but no full length bristles.
Bottom line, the overall build quality is exceptional, and should stand up very well to aggressive washing.

The only possible downside of this car wash brush is the very feature that makes it so great, the softness. If you need to remove built-up gunk, you may need a stiffer brush. I feel this brush is just too soft for heavy-duty cleaning, or for rough textures like concrete or brick. But for washing smooth surfaces like cars, RV, even siding, it’s the perfect tool for the job. I’m not sure where the 14 inch dimension that’s mentioned in the listing title came from. But I can tell you that when the brush is resting, it’s about 12 inches across, from one bristly end to the other. And when the bristles are in full contact with a surface, it covers an area of 10 inches across, which is quite a good swath for one pass. But it’s definitely not 14 inches.

Before I wrap this up, I should mention that the bristles, although soft, do respond well to downward pressure. More specifically, they “spring back” to their resting position after being pressed into the cleaning surface. As just about everyone knows, brushes often lose their shape over time, depending on 1) the quality of the bristles, 2) how they’re being used (or abused), and 3) how they’re being stored after use. Regarding the latter, I strongly suggest taking the time to remove the brush from the pole and storing the brush with the ABS head down and the bristles up. I know it’s a pain, and much easier to simply lean the brush up against the wall with the bristles pointing down. But try to resist the temptation. If you can’t stand the though of having to disassemble the brush after use, at least hang it up from the pole, with the brush suspended in air. That’s probably the best set-up for storage.

I’m really glad I ordered this brush. I’ll be washing our SUV this weekend and will update this review if I experience anything that’s of concern. At the time of order, the brush was selling for $19.99. That’s a good price for a quality brush that should last a good while. I highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dont buy. Product advertised as 14″ but is only 11″. Oh and real slick trying to put a label on the box stating it’s a 14″ product but is in a 12″ box. Lame. Also standard threaded poles don’t screw in well at all.

Handle fits most extension poles has a lot to be desired. Car the brush with you to if you can find a pole that fits.

  4. Goomba

Soft long bristles, fits the handle, gets into the corners with ease.

  5. Amazon Customer

It is one of the best ones I found, as others have fewer bristles or are too short. It works well and cleaned my suv really nicely.

As good or better than Shurhold blue brushes for a 3rd of the price plus there are 3 sides to clean with. Blue is the soft color brush you want to not scratch boat gel coat.
