I use it to wash our vehicles. I have worn the bottoms of my wash buckets by dragging them on the driveways. This design, with wheels and plus a raised mesh in the bottom that creates an area to allow the grit and grim to drop to the bottom under the screen. A great idea in itself. I highly recommend this well designed wash bucket.

Very well made and durable. Large casters roll easily on the driveway and garage. But in detergent cup easily measures Griot’s car wash. Snap on lid keeps bucket clean between washings. Buying on Amazon saved a few bucks vs. buying direct for some reason.

Hand washing in the driveway is certainly more labor than running through the local pay and play, but the results are superior and money savings will eventually cover the cost of this bucket. Recommend.

One broken wheel hub . Arrived five days late. Contacted company and replacement was forthcoming immediately. The unit is very sturdy and the package was undisturbed but one wheel hub was broken off.

This bucket has serious design flaws. The grading inside the bucket took a screwdriver to remove as it was too tight. The handle kept rubbing the sides of the bucket when you try to set the handle to the side of the bucket. The cover didn’t fit correctly. The bucket was cheaply made. For 50 dollars I expected much better from Griots. I returned it. For a company like Griots to offer this crap is really surprising. Go elsewhere for a wash bucket.

My quirky story: unrelated..
I am using it for my elderly father who has diabetic feet and had lots of open wounds. He is in an assisted living and they cant use common sense. I can soak both of his very large feet comfortably in salts and essential oils: like calendula, arnica and tea tree. It’s easy for me to transport to the shower to dump the water, because of the wheels and handle. Regular foot baths were to flimsy or too small and sent them back. I keep the water in it, so we can do a couple of soaks: just heating up the kettle and adding hot water. The Medicare home healthcare nurse charge $125 to change his band aids every two day for more than a month and the Medicare Doctor charged $285 multiple times to prescribe anti-biotics and diuretic that didn’t work, before I said enough is enough. His feet are completely healed after two weeks.

This is the perfect bucket in lieu of the standard round bucket with a grit guard. After you fill it with water, it will get heavy so the casters are a welcomed addition. The included grit guard has a small car wash measuring divot so you don’t have to worry about using too much or too little solution. The shelf gives you a place to put your wash mitt while not in use so you don’t need to leave it floating in the water or trying to find a clean place to leave it.
Although as others have said you need to be on a fairly flat surface so it won’t roll away.

BEWARE BEWARE! Do not buy this bucket. As a manufacturing design engineer I am extremely baffled and unhappy by the choice of plastic used for this product. Go look at the 1 star reviews and believe them. The shelf will break off. The wheels will break. The handle will break. I stand by Griots products but they made an oversight with this one. They aren’t in the business of buckets. I commend them trying and I still trust their compounds. I trust that they will do what’s right and improve this design flaw.
