I’d been using some tiny two-layered foam applicators for years to apply tire shine. I always had to wear gloves because they were too small and it was impossible to avoid getting silicone on my hands.
**See my photos**. These IPELY pads are not only as wide as my low-profile tires, the molded handle keeps your hand far away from the product you’re applying. There’s no need to wear gloves when using these.
Pros:
The large application surface is round, which is the best shape for dressing tires.
The “handle” is big enough to easily grip.
The relatively heavy density of the foam makes them durable.
The wavy shape of the application surface responds to more pressure for more delivery of product and vice versa.
Might be the best dedicated tire dressing applicator on the market.
Cons:
Fairly expensive, but the pros outweigh the price.

This is a must have accessory for applying tire shine. Perfect stiffness, works great, grip is excellent, sized perfectly and leaves no drips. Spray your tire shine onto the sponge and apply. Works great!

These applicator pads are exactly what I didn’t know I needed. The hex-grip design makes them super comfortable to hold and keeps my hands clean during the application no more greasy fingers! The foam is firm but flexible, making it easy to get into all the curves and edges of the tire. I love how evenly it spreads the product without soaking up too much, so a little tire shine goes a long way. They’re also easy to clean and reuse, which is a huge bonus. Definitely worth it if you want a professional-looking finish with minimal mess.

Great little brush for applying tire dressing to low-profile tires. Just a few sprays of dressing on the brush is all you need. The density of the bristles ensures coverage into all the ribbed edges and nooks and crannies on the sidewalls of modern tires, and the brush allows you to level the coating without getting dressing all over the wheels. Would highly recommend.

I recently picked up the IPELY 2 Pack Large Tire Shine Applicator Pad, and overall, it’s a decent product. The pads are durable and feel sturdy enough for multiple uses, which is great since they’re reusable. The hex-grip design makes it easy to hold onto, and it does a good job of applying tire dressing evenly, so I don’t have to worry about wasting product. The size of the pads is also nice, allowing for quick application to larger tires without much effort.
However, I wouldn’t say this product is amazing. While it works well, it’s not the most efficient applicator I’ve used. The pads don’t hold as much product as I would like, so I find myself adding more tire dressing than I’d prefer to get the coverage I want. Additionally, the durability of the pads over time is still something I’m questioning. After a few uses, I noticed some wear, but nothing too extreme.
For the price, it’s a solid option, and it does the job, but I’m not blown away by it. I’d give it 4/5 stars because it’s functional and reasonably priced, but it’s not the best applicator I’ve tried. If you’re looking for something basic and effective, it works fine, but there are likely better options out there for more consistent performance.
