Gates parts ate included it the kit. Not OEM parts
Brían S. Du Bois –
Firstly, please note that I purchased the ACDelco timing belt/water pump kit for a 2009 Subaru Forester (TCKWP304ASF) and a review of my specific experience can be seen there. However, I would like to make customers aware of my situation that might be applicable also to this kit.
All components within my “ACDelco” timing belt/Water pump kit were stamped with Gates. Not a single component was labelled ACDelco. There is also available a Gates kit for nearly half of the price (ie $468 ACDelco vs $255 Gates) so essentially, I paid $213 for an ACDelco box. After questioning ACDelco about this, it took them more than 3 days to return to my message at which time they asked for photographs. I supplied these photographs and asked that they refund me the difference between the kits and also noted that the parts were installed because I did not know how long it would be for them to respond to my message – I needed my car. They said they would not refund the difference but offered a $50 coupon out of “good will”. I brought this issue to Amazon who has decided that ACDelco has sold me a counterfeit product; Amazon has refunded me the full price and the issue is now between ACDelco and Amazon.
I expect that if a company is going to sell parts from a third party, this should at least be noted on their sales site; this information was absent in the case of the kit for my Subaru. Please be aware that from ACDelco, there is a chance you may receive parts from another manufacturer. To me, this was a surprise – I bought ACDelco for brand. I do not want this to be seen as a grievance post, but hopefully this provides other costumers with a bit of knowledge of how their products might arrive, and how ACDelco deals with their customers. Perhaps check if there is an equivalent Gates kit and give consideration to my experience.

I have installed this on my Chevy Cruze 2012 1,8 engine; Car came alive; Notes to be considered: Tensioner is from Litens; it is same as from the GM Factory; Belt was from Gates; I have heard often this kit comes with Gates Belt; It is OEM spec as well; Good this is Bolt was included;
