I have an early 1999 F250 7.3 Overall the pan fit well for the most part. I did compare all the screw holes with the old pan and they lined up perfect with the holes from the old pan and also with the holes from the Moroso gasket. The only issue was that the casting was off just a bit on the back passenger side of the pan and around the oil filter housing. The lip of the pan was bumping into the bell housing just barely and also hitting the filter housing causing it not to fit up flush against the gasket which caused the holes to not line up. I took the angle grinder to the edge and only had to take a few hundredths of an inch of by the back edge and around the oil filter. This was not a big deal at all because it only took a few seconds. I am very familiar with using aftermarket support on vehicles and a bit of trimming or grinding is always a good possibility. Over 24 years of making castings from castings from castings it’s always possible that the fit may be a bit off, but this was nothing major and was very easily remedied. Overall I would say this is a great product, especially for the price, and the pan still earned 5 starts from me. Most people that are doing this job at home will have access to an angle grinder and are fimiliar with using aftermarket product. This is a huge job, whether you pull the engine or not!!!!

This oil pan fit perfectly on my 7.3 l motor, all the bolt holes lined up well. I recommend getting the original gray moto craft 7.3 oil pan silicone to install this. The paint is fine and there is no paint inside which is great. It didn’t come with any bolts but it came with the oil dipstick flange o-ring. The paint job was fine/minimal but if you’re looking to upgrade then hit it with a few coats of chemical resistant bed liner from your favorite automotive store.

Seems like a quality pan. I was worried about the slight gap upfront under the water pump but I’m guessing and hoping it will hold oil. If not I will cry. I painted it so it comes gloss black not as pictured. Use ford rtv is what everyone says. Also use ford dipstick tube and adapters not Dorman they fit property in the pan
Update: it works perfect. I have a Pesin plug leak. I’d advise switching the aluminum crush washer to brass. But everything else is aces and for a cheap price

Oil pan came on time and in tact. Fit perfectly on our 99 f-250. The truck is still in the process of being put back together, but so far no complaints.
Update: truck was back in commission about a week after this review was written. We’ve made several long trips and it’s a daily driver with this oil pan installed and after 9 months and about 30k miles, it’s holding up just fine with no leaks or issues.

Used to replace my old oil pan. The first oil pan amazon sent me was damaged. Make sure you inspect the sealing surface very well. There was a small manufacturing defect. Contacted Spectra and they never contacted me back. Amazon overnighted one to me on their dollar. Very good customer surface. I pulled the engine and used ford motorcraft grey silicone when i did mine. The engine needs to be on a stand and flipped upside down for 24 hours prior to installing oil pan. Then the sealant needs another 24 hours to cure. No leaks so far and alot cheaper then what a new motorcraft oil pan would have cost me
