I have a 2003 Navigator w/ an air suspension that stopped inflating and I was riding on the bump stops – Air suspension compressor tested fine so it was either the relay or the control module. – Either way, I was looking at spending 350-1000$ MINIMUM ( Best case scenario: Relay $130, self install (2 hrs of my time $0) + dealer reprogramming $250 , other best case scenario: Dealer Module is $500 + Install $200 + Reprogramming $200) In the end, I would still have a suspension with too many parts prone to failure (height sensors, air compressor, relay, etc.) that are even more costly (1000-2000$ fixes each).
Therefore, I decided to look into a conversion kit to solid shocks/struts. There are a few pricier options, Suncore, Strutmasters, a pieced-together Monroe kit, etc. To be honest, the Strutmasters kit with Eibach springs is probably the best quality option. I was stuck deciding between this $300 Unity kit with free shipping, and a $650 Strutmaster kit with an extra $100 shipping. A good suspension is critical to safely driving the car so I understand how important this decision was. That being said, my navigator had 110,000 miles on it, and I still would have to pay to get it installed (it is 10 degrees outside now). I figured Unity is at minimum the same quality as the re-purposed Suncore kit, and probably equivalent to plain Monroe parts as everyone complains about them anyway. Basically, I’m saying that I hypothesized that the Unity kit would do the job just fine.
I pulled the trigger and paid $400 for the install; plus another $90 for an alignment (don’t be a fool and not get one after the installation) Shop reported no problems at all, except that they followed the wire cutting instructions and the suspension error message still showed up, no matter, because you should turn off the suspension switch anyway, which will show a suspension off message.
End cost: $300 for this kit, $400 install, $90 alignment = $800 for a suspension that is less prone to failure, and will be cheaper to repair if anything does go wrong.
End result: After driving the car for a little while, the suspension rides barely-noticeably harsher. The main difference is that you “hear” bumps more as you go over them. I am also free of the worry that the suspension will not inflate and I will be bouncing all over the place until I empty my bank account to fix it.
I plan on updating this review as time goes on, because knowing the longevity of the product is important as a buyer. As of this point, I would definitely recommend buying this kit!

Took me a little longer to install because it was my first time, but great product for your money and I can’t tell the difference really between my air ride shocks and these. Definitely worth the money.

I am very satisfied with the Unity Struts and shocks that I had put on my 04 Lincoln Navigator, my friends wife had the same problem with her Ford Expedition and bought the Strut masters conversion kit for $700.00 this included shipping, I bought the Unity conversion kit by Complete Struts for $238.00 with free Shipping and had them put on for $300.00 by the same friend and he was feeling like and idiot for spending what he did on the Strut Masters.
The Unity conversion kit comes complete and ready to install, comes in two boxes the larger box are the rear, it rides a little higher which I like and doesn’t have that air ride feel to it, but considering what I had gone thru and had to endure with the air ride system starting to fall apart this rides like a dream no more worries about whether or not it is going to rise or not anymore no more low riding and bouncing like a bobble head doll and driving 10mph just to go to the store, if you are considering this conversion kit for your Lincoln just bite the bullet and do it and make sure that you get someone who knows what their doing to install it and you will not regret it.
Side note if you do the conversion there is a switch on the inside at the back end on the left hand corner that you can turn off to keep the computer from beeping, it will give you a reading warning but all you need to do is hit the reset button every time you restart the vehicle, this a minor inconvenience considering the alternatives, hope this help. Did a coil conversion from air suspensions on both front and back. Was riding around for about 9 months with busted air suspensions and it sucked so bad! Every little bump I thought the truck would just demolish and screw up more parts and definitely ate all 4 tires to shreds. These parts work amazingly and for not a bad price. I have a Lincoln Navigator 2006 and I will never have air suspensions in any vehicle I own again.
