This came bagged ready to install. This was a lighthearted effort to see if replacing my gas cap fixed a regular emissions light that comes on. I got a 2016 Honda fit. Installing this involved removing the door to access the cap tether. Time driving will tell if it fixes my issue. The cap does fit a little tighter than my current cap but the mechanical husband says. It’s fine enough. If this works well I’ll share the extra to a friend in the future if they need it.

I have an inspection coming up and the gas cap was signaling the engine light. I put the new cap on and cleared the engine light, so far so good. Also felt a big difference in the tightness of the cap which makes me even more confident in the cap.
