Perfect fit. Strong construction and matches OEM material. Video demonstrates me putting it on. It will work for any 4.0 6 cyl Jeep engine, but I’m not sure if it’s universal. XJ, YJ, TJ etc if you have the 4.0 you’re good with this.
Idk why the video didn’t catch me saying “NOT WIGGLY.” To be clear, the cap does not wiggle.

Even though my trusty 4×4 is “only” 29 years old, it was time to replace some parts associated with the valve cover, as there were plenty of signs of oil seeping out, including around the oil fill port. The old cap was (originally, anyway…) yellow, and looking a little tired.
This cap actually looks more like it belongs in my all-business engine compartment than the original. It’s got nice, deep depressions between the “fingers”, allowing for applying more torque than you should ever need to remove or install an oil fill cap. I like the fact that it’s got a “breakaway ratchet” mechanism, like the original, preventing over-torquing the cap.
The new cap went on exactly, precisely like the old one, and all indications are that it’s sealing perfectly. If this one lasts 29 years, I’ll be pleased!
