I was replacing the vacuum hose that goes to this so I figured why not replace this as well, my 2002 Yukon XL 5.3l flex fuel has almost 184k miles. This was an exact fit, no leaks. Does not come with a new retaining bracket which wasn’t a big deal. The order in which the gaskets (large and small) go are, nylon first then rubber o-ring. Lubricate the o-rings with motor oil or bulb greaser before installing. I have a special o-ring lubricant that a coworker gave me for working on his Audi and I used it. I checked my fuel pressure before and after installing this, this part didn’t make a difference but at least it’s one part I shouldn’t have to worry about failing anytime soon.

Great part – easy to install. Relieve pressure in fuel rails by using small screwdriver to push in the schrader valve on the fuel pressure test port.
Put a rag underneath because fuel will suirt out. Then put a rag under and around the regulator. Quite a bit of fuel suirted out when your remove it.
Remove clamp with a pick or screwdriver and gently pull the regulator out. The black ring included is a little confusing at first but it is a spacer that goes on the inside part of the regulator and then the larger blue o-ring fits on after it. Small o-ring goes in the inside of the housing. Use a 5-16th socket to seat the small o-ring firmly into its place. Then the fuel regulator assembly goes on (large blue o-ring and spacer installed) by firmly pushing it into the housing. It will seat firmly and then the clamp that was removed can be put on. Cycle the ignition 2 or 3 times to get fuel pressure built back up and start er up! Easy 10 -15 minute job

Direct repl for a 2003 Chevy Tahoe 4×4 LT v8, flex fuel regulator.
Everything that was needed was included and was 35% cheaper than local parts outlets.
Buy OEM on these. It’s not worth the hassle of dealing with knock offs. Stick with Delco.

The fuel pressure got here quick a++ on that next day actually. Awesome 👌. I did buy the Ac Delco fuel pressure regulator. But when I received it. It was not in the original box. Very sketchy. It was in a zip lock bag. With a sticker. Usually they come in the original box. But not this one. $75 is alot of cash and not to received the box makes it seem like it nots an original product. Maybe a cheap knock off. I don’t know.. I’m still gonna install it and use it. As my truck needs this part.

The fuel pressure regulator was just like the OEM. What we found is the larger oring needed to be installed on the regulator prior to installation or it will leak. The suburban ran much better on cold starts after the new unit was installed.

Worked exactly as expected, OEM quality part for half of what local stores were asking. I used it on a 2003 5.3L vortec that has flex fuel and it’s a perfect fit. Pay attention to how the clip holds the old one in, it has a certain spot where it should sit and seals it properly, if not… When you key on… 50psi of fuel comes out of your engine bay. I would have left only 4 stars because it should come with a new clip, but the old one doesn’t impede performance.

the Regulator came just fine AC Delco ….and look similar to the BWD….i removed… but !
i sprayed Gas all over when i started the Engine…so i recommend wrap blue shop towels around yours… took me 4 times installing to figure it out ( i hope) but the black spacer… seemed to big (thick) and i finally switched the thinner plastic spacer from the old unit and stuck her back in the hole .. got the clip on tight … round part to the back….locked on the tabs… prayed a lot..and bingo.. seems to have sealed … Truck runs better and sounds better…i think the old one was failing slowly..
