This is the second window motor I’ve had to replace on my daughter’s 2013 Fiat 500. This is a different brand from the passenger side replacement but it works just as good and fits perfectly. The only difference I found was how the glass connects to the motor assembly. This one uses a plastic post that goes in the hole in the glass and a cotter pin secures it. At first I thought it was going to be a pain to insert the cotter pin, since you kind of have to do it blind because it’s inside the door, but you can see it well enough and all you have to do is slide the cotter pin along the glass up to the hole and then push it in. The other brand uses a clip that you slide the window onto. A bit easier to make the connection but not sure of it’s durability. Time will tell which one lasts longer. I have no reservations recommending this product to others.

I bought this to replace the part that broke on my wife’s 2016 Fiat 500. This looks different than the factory part, but still fits in the exact same space as the old window regulator unit, while being slightly cheaper and easier to handle. It also comes with a new set of nuts and bolts to fasten it. The window latch mechanism has been completely redesigned, but still fits in the same place in the window glass as the old plastic latch. There is a special tool included to correctly install the latch, and should be self-explanatory once it is in place. I installed this a few weeks ago, and it still works great. There are videos available online that show how to take apart the door and replace the window regulator.

UPDATE: While the metal post that this unit has is certainly more robust than the plastic clip of the factory unit, the motor raises and lowers much faster whither a hard stop at full open or close. That hard stop caused the plastic cable mount to break and dropped the window into the door. So, basically, a different plastic part failure with the same result. I have alerted Brock to the situation. Hopefully will get a response.
For about the same price as the other available options, this unit has a metal clip to hold the window. Most of the time when the factory unit fails it’s because the cheap plastic clip has become brittle and breaks. That won’t happen with this unit’s metal clip. Other replacement parts have the same factory style plastic clip. Avoid those unless you want to do another replacement down the road. Also, installation is pretty easy. There are videos online if you need guidance. Just a 30-40 minute job taking your time.

I bought this replacement because the window clip in the photo appeared to be made of metal, which seemed a good upgrade from the standard Fiat 500 window regulator clip made of white plastic. As any Fiat owner knows, that plastic clip is the part that breaks. A metal clip would be so much better.
Unfortunately, the clip on the regulator sent to me was the standard plastic one. I was disappointed, but went ahead and installed this replacement.
Barely two months later, and the new clip broke.

Most garages want $400 or more to replace this regulator. There are a few videos online and they take you through it step by step. It isn’t that difficult you just have to have the confidence that you can do it. This replacement version is much better than the OEM. That white plastic piece always breaks. Don’t bother just replacing it, buy this whole new unit instead because it is much more robust.

I have been having problems with both of my windows. I was able to repair one but had to purchase this updated regulator to repair the other side. WOW, what a difference. I’m planning to order the other side so they both match. One window goes twice as fast as the other. Much better design as far as the glass attachment. You should have been the original equipment supplier. Nice job.

The ones I got did have a metal clip. I went ahead and got both sides, figured the other would break eventually.
However they go up and down faster and hit hard at the end of their travel. So I had one fail already in about a year’s time, the clip didn’t fail but another plastic piece did so I’ve put the old one back in and try to not run the other one all the way down and stop before full up and then then bump it up slowly to full up so it doesn’t hit so hard. They looked like they were going to be a better solution, they replaced the plastic clip with a metal post unfortunately there are still plastic elsewhere that will fail if let it hit at full speed at the end of their travel.
