We’ve gone through so many phone mounts over the years. Suction cups always end up failing no matter where we put them. This mount is very adjustable and was easy to install on the rear view mirror. It clamps on and is very sturdy. The magnetic attachment works well and I’ve never had my iPhone fall off.

This product sort of surprised me, I had doubts that it would properly and if I’d like it. Well, it works exactly as advertised and I do like it. I have a 2010 Toyota Camry for my car and my main smartphone is a Galaxy S24 Ultra/I have a secondary backup phone which is an old Galaxy Note 9 phone I use as well. I have a magsafe case on my S24 ultra and just a regular case on my Note 9. I’ve used all kinds of phone mounts in my car throughout the years, suction cup mounts always fall off my windshield eventually and air vent mounts work okay but then in the winter when I’m blasting the heater, my phone gets super hot since it’s installed right in front of the vent which isn’t good for it. I’ve seen the car cup holder installed mounts as well but that just seems awkward to use.
I saw this mount and smirked for a sec but it intrigued me enough to give it a try. Installation was easy, it just hangs/claws onto your rearview mirror and then you tighten it. Everything is adjustable and it’s easy to position your phone wherever you want it to go. I don’t own an iPhone but I have a magsafe case on my Galaxy phone which is how my phone is able to work with this magnetic mount, it just snaps onto it using the magnets built into my case. I’m using a Torras 360 spin magsafe case https://www.amazon.com/TORRAS-Stand-Samsung-Galaxy-Ultra/dp/B0CPHYWQ8G/?th=1 that I bought off Amazon for my phone, any Android phone case that is magsafe compatible will work with this mount. My old Note 9 phone doesn’t have a magsafe case but I just super glued the included metal ring that comes with this product onto the back of the case on my Note 9 and it works. Ideally, you either want to own an iPhone or have a magsafe Android phone case to use this mount. Super gluing the included metal ring onto the back of your existing case works but it’s going to look a little funky then.
The nice thing about this mount is you can position your phone all around and get it very close to your line of sight if you want. No looking down at your phone screen while driving like other mounts out there. It’s nice to be able to use Waze/Google maps navigation and see the screen right there. I was worried while driving that there might be lots of vibration/rattling from this mount while hanging from my rearview mirror but there has been nothing noticeable. I’ve hit potholes here in Colorado/driven on rough roads and my phone has not fallen from this mount, the magnetic lock is pretty strong. So far it’s been solid, I hop into my car and touch my phone to the mount it and it magnetically attaches. Drive around, do my thing and when I leave my car I pop it off the magnet with a little force. Easy to use and secures my phone while driving, I’m going to continue to use this mount and ditch my air vent mount I’ve been using.

I was looking for a phone holder that wouldn’t block the ac. This worked great. I changed the arm to a drop in phone holder I have which worked so much better for me. I am not a fan of having to pull the phone off the magnet.
