Replaced factory tensioner with this one during timing belt change. There are two different model engines for this year and they have different model tensioners so confirm this is the one you need.

Fit perfectly and got rid of the noise the original one started making after 11 years of use. Kind of expensive but still only half the cost of oem. Hopefully it stays quiet for many years.

Was getting a clattering sound from the drive belt area, and could see constant movement on tensioner while the engine was running. Removed the belt and could feel slight play in tensioner top pully. After installing new AC Delco tensioner the movement was greatly reduced, and there was no longer any noise.
I was unable to find a video or instructions for the replacement on a Crosstour. I will give a few pointers for others to hopefully help someone avoid the issues I faced.
1) Unclip the power steering reservoir from it’s mount and disconnect the hose at the top of the power steering pump, then move it out of the way. I ended up draining the reservoir because it kept dripping from the rag I used to plug the line.
2) Dissconnect the battery and remove the two bolts from the alternator (after removing drive belt) then slide it toward the front of car to provide room to remove and replace tensioner. If not, you will need to remove the bottom roller from the tesioner to get it in and out of the car. This is much easier than trying to insatll the roller and long bolt in the tight space between the engine and frame.
3) There is not enough room between the engine and frame to remove the long bolt mounting the bottom roller on the tensioner. The ratchet will bottom out into the frame before the bolt comes out. If the bolt is too tight to the bushing to turn by hand as mine was, you will want a 14mm ratchet wrench to thread and unthread the bolt as it at the beginning and end of the bolt.
4) Remove the front passanger side wheel and then remove one plastic clip from guarding to access the 12mm bolt at the bottom of the tesioner. You may not need to do this if you’re adgile enough to remove and replace the bolt in the blind in a hard to reach area. It was simple to do from the wheel well area.
